I have one of the shades that will pull down and stay but when you want it to go up, it goes up, and fast. It use to slowly retract but not now. How can you fix that without going to the dealer.

Shade Maintenance

I have a 2019 3560RL and have also had a few shades replaced under warranty. I find that my shade issues fall into three issues: The bottom pull rail coming off, the shade won't stay down, or loss of spring pressure. The Irvine Shade Door Inc. has replacement springs and auto stops and have several good videos to explain how to adjust the shades, reattach the pull rail, and to replace the spring and auto stops. With these expensive shades, a $10 spring and about 10 minutes time can often cure your problem. Here is a link to their website:

Check on the shades as to who the OEM manufacturer is. It should have the name on the shade pull down or somewhere. I'm guessing they are Irvine Shades and the company is located in Elkhart, IN. If the shades are adjusted correctly they will not be a problem. We had ours adjusted at the 2019 National Fall Rally and have not had a problem with them since. They did tell us to have the shades in the up position when traveling.

They must have went to low quality shades in the last few years. We have a 2013 3402 and have never had a shade break except for the one I broke. We travel with them up. We are high end users and we live in the Montana more than 6 months of the year so they get a lot of up and down. Helen did have to restring the one I broke and notes that the OEM strings are a lot thinner that the replacements she ordered.
