Vent Caps

What are the 2 roof caps/vent covers (forward and aft) on my 2017 3911FB (they are not the vent covers for the black and gray tanks)?

These are the attic vents. The outer cap screws on to the base. Inside the base is a plastic screen assembly to keep things from accessing the attic, although that .ca still happen via the basement and internal wall structures which are totally open to the attic.

There are 3 types of vents on the top of your camper. The exhaust that you open and close with crank. The vents for your black and grey tank. The third one, usually low and flat and about 5 inches in diameter are vents, like in your house, for the "attic". In an RV, it's that space between the ceiling rafters. It's for venting so heat build up has a way of escape allowing your attic to breath in and out.

Thanks to you both (the sun had "deteriorated" them and when I was up cleaning the roof this morning, they came apart). Do you suppose they can be obtained thru Amazon or do I need to go to a RV store or ?

Here you go.

When you get the new ones paint them with some Krylon for plastic. Slows down the UV deterioration. You don't have to replace the base just insure the caulking around the base is in good shape with no cracks then screw the new caps on.

If you search, you can find just the top cap without having to by the whole vent assembly. They are around $6
