You have been very busy, everything looks great. I really like the idea of attaching the cranks to the wall, helps to removes a lot of clutter. Are the closet door catches a two piece device and where did you get them?

Very nice! I love seeing stuff people make...
I like it all, but agree the leather furniture is tops! Once you have leather it's really hard to go back.

Rick & Don, I just got them at "Tacoma RV" They just came in this weekend. Rick these are the new catch for the new "Big Sky" have Les Or Steve put them on for you, they work great and no more prying open the sliding doors anymore.
And won't you know it when I went to change them the one next to the TV broke off.

Thanks everyone for your input on our improvements, for anyone that is thinking about getting sofa or loveseat make very sure it will fit. We spent about two years in looking everywhere for ours.
The sofa has recliners at both ends, and the loveseat has recliner on both sides. I must have measured close to two hundred units before we made the final choice.
Remember measure forty times then buy once. Because the sofa has recliners at both ends, when taken apart you will have three sections and will fit through the small RV door.
When they delivered ours the guy asked where it was going, and when I showed him I was sure he was going to faint?
After I showed them how to remove the bottom rails, thus giving them three sections they were very happy. It took them about an hour to take the sofa and loveseats apart put in the trailer and assemble them back together.
Even after looking everywhere and making our choice I was very worried about the slides clearing the sofa when retracting, it clears by one inch!!!

William,
Nice job. I love seeing how people make their units individual.
Is the couch the same size as the old one? If you bought it did you have to get a special ordered couch? If I keep my unit this summer the floral nightmare is headed out the door. I have another leather couch in my office but it was just too big for the trailer.
Thanks in advance!
Phil

Willaim, I second everyones comments. Great mods and I hope to be able to use some if it is OK with you. I just broke one of our closet catches and yesterday stopped by Tacoma RV to get replacements and ended up with the old style. I seen the brown ones sitting there, but the gal at the counter didn't know if they would fit and the pakaging looked pretty generic so I didn't get them. Next time I go to Tacoma, I will return the old style and get the new ones.
Thanks, Ken

Oldguard are the recliners in the sofa wall huggers or do you have to pull the sofa out to lay down the recliners?
Just curious.

Ken won’t wait to long now that everyone knows about them there could be a rush by others. Tacoma RV only ordered 25 packages and it took awhile for them to come in…
I’ve had e-mails from as far away as Florida wanting to know where we picked them up and yes anyone can use any of our “Mod’s” have fun we did…

Don yes they are wall huggers, and yes we do have to pull the sofa out to use the recliners on the sofa, but the loveseat doesn’t have to be pulled out to use.
We don’t pull the sofa out for short stays for the most, but it’s not a problem to do so.
However for long stays we do pull it out and we wouldn’t be without them as they are much more comfortable than the factory sofa & recliners.

Rick we got the fence material from Tacoma RV parts department it cost about $30.00 for a eight foot section, if they have it on hand, which they don’t now so if we wanted more we would also have to pay for shipping, then not worth the cost.
As for the oak used on the bottom, back and ends of the spice racks we picked it up at “Home Depot” and then used the fence material across the front.
You could get the barrel type fence material from “Home Depot” along with the oak, but we wanted to try and match material already used in the trailer from the factory, that why we put out the extra cost.
Our 3400Rl is a 2005 where you are is going to be getting a 2007 the factory material may a lot different than ours?
