Short answer. No.

I retired from the retail side of the car business. The "Business Office" was one of the largest grossing departments in the dealership. And most profitable. We would sell the vehicle for cost less holdback and make 4K in the "Business Office"

Like they tells the kids, "Just Say No"

yes but you can shop around as has been said. We paid nowhere near 4K for either of our Montana Extended warranties. In fact nowhere near 3K.More like a bit less than 2K. Again review your circumstances and do what best serves you.

Don't forget there are some very expensive repairs that are not covered by your warranty or an ESP. If your high pressure fuel pump goes out and they can find rust or dirt in it, and they will, it is not covered. That is an $8000 plus repair.
