When the commode "burps" as you describe it means the black tank vent pipe is occluded. Most commonly this is because the black tank is full and needs to be dumped, however, other occlusions will produce the same burping. It could be something in the pipe itself such as snow/ice, mud dauber nest, small dead animal etc, or something from the tank, tissue or solid debris. If you can safely access the roof this time of you you might try running a plumbers snake down the vent pipe on the roof. Be careful you don't want to pook a hole in something!!
