Question High Point convection/Microwave

We bought a Montana 20th Anniversary 3121RL which has a High Point Convection/Microwave. My question is on the inside Rt wall there as what is an opening that is covered with what appears to be card board which looks like is maybe coated with something. Is this supposed to stay there? Was afraid was missed when installed. Is Model EC942K9E. Thanks for any info.

I agree. Everyone seems to love the convection oven, but I have never used one so will definitely be a learning process.

Our new Montana has a 1100watt micro/convection oven. I really do not think it is running at full power. Takes over 2 minutes to heat a cup of water.

We solved my problem with the thing and took it out this weekend. I like the oven as it works quite well, so I'll continue baking in that.
