Cleaning countertops

I have bought several products from Lowes and Home Depot, that claim to clean and polish countertops, but they didn't bring back the shine to my Corian countertops. Does anyone have any ideas on how to bring back the shine? Thanks, Sue

Go to this link, and then click on "Caring For Your DuPont Corian® Countertop" http://www.dupont.com/products-and-s...op-repair.html

There are special micro-surface abrasive pads available, which the table at the bottom of the pdf page shows who makes them. I have found, if you get the top too glossy, you have no chance of using the counter top without adding more scratches to it. A clean, slightly dull finish works for us.

First thing you need to know is you can't hurt your countertop. Sand a out of the way place with a peice of about 800 grit wet or dry sand paper. Keep it wet. If you don't like that try finer or courser. You are not going to sand through the finish. There is no finish on it. You might go to a home improvement store and get a sample to practice on.

Forgot to also mention that regular toothpaste and a damp sponge works pretty good removing minor scratches.
