Suggestions Solicited!
The firs week in May we (Doug and I with Bruto and Bella as well as my parents with their SOB) will be taking a trip up to Indiana to pick up our nephew from Indiana State. He is relocating to Florida to finish college in the warmth (and where the girls where shorts year round as far as he can tell from his visit here over Christmas...its more obvious when you just came down from cold country where there is snow!). We will no longer be empty nesters, but as he is a great young man and he has lived with us long term in the past I don't anticipate any real problems. (He even does his own laundry!)
ANYWAY we will be leaving from central Florida (Umatilla to be exact...north of Orlando) and starting up 75 (oh boy!). For those of you who are on the road much more than we are/have been, if you have any suggestions for routes, stops, and campgrounds, your ideas and suggestions would be much appreciated! We are figuring on taking three to four days of traveling each direction. Doug would really like to stop at Fort Knox and in "Corvette land" on the way back (unless there are other suggestions).
ANYWAY...your thoughts would be appreciated!
Robin

The Kentucky Horse Farm in Knoxville is on your way and a great stop. Has its own cg, too.

OOPS! Sorry, Robin. I meant to say that the Kentucky Horse Farm was in Lexington, KY, right off I-75. Thanks for the heads up, John.

The Corvette museum is very interesting. Mammoth Caves is nearby and a good place to visit and stay. The Kentucky Horse Farm is not to be missed. We loved it.
