The campground we stayed at was called Rivers End. I did not like the place for several reasons. The sites were close, it was hard to get around in the campground and I thought it was a little run down. The sites out next to the street were the best!

We spent one night at Rivers End recently and the best thing it has going for it is location, location, location. The beach is beautiful.

If you're going to Savannah to do the tourist thing, check out Skidaway Island State Park. It's a wonderful, natural setting with large pull throughs. Of course, there's no sewer or clubhouse but it's very nice for long stays. Reservations are recommended.

Sorry to hear you didn't like that park, Chub. I know the area you are talking about and would have to agree with you. We spent January and February in one of the street sites, about the third or fourth site after you turn onto Fort St from Polk St. We really liked the park but we were in the better part of it. Liked the free cable and free wifi, too! But when you get a site like you did, that sours the whole experience. I also agree the beach is beautiful. We spent a lot of time on the beach.
