Metal VaLve Stems and Stock Rims

Of any of you who has gone to the G-614`s on the stock rims for a `09 3400RL, have you had any problem fitting metal valve stems. Dealer is mounting them next week when I have the wet bolt kit and Moryde X- Factor installed. He says they have had some problem finding correct valve stem. Thanks.

Here is a link on the valve stems I had put in last year. Note: I did go with the longer stems because I am running the Tire Pressure Monitoring system. Also, they had to use different rubber grommets for our rims because of the wall thickness and hole size.

Hope this helps

I also had the longer valve stems installed. The ones that the tire store got fit the rims fine. So far, no leaks.

Any parts supply store should have a selection of the metal stems on display- You can also buy them at any truck tire service center- All the stems I have purchased came with 2 sizes of rubber washers- The large washer fits older rims and the smaller washer fits newer rims- You might want to get the stems you want in advance to preclude your service center from having to find some at the last minute- Good luck on your new adventure- Don

We don't have G-614's but we did have metal valve stems installed when the tires were replaced. No problems. That's been a couple of years.
