Fantastic Fan
I would like to install a fantastic fan in the bedroom to help with the moisture from the shower. I am just wondering if there is 12v power readily accessible as normally the second A/C would be mounted here. Thanks in advance for your help.

I removed our bathroom fan and installed one of these. Works great even in the rain and the 12v was already there. The only way to be sure in the other vent would be to remove the trim ring and look.

One of the packages, not sure which one, comes prewired for second AC, chech you standard and option sheet. Should tell you. Ours was ordered with second AC installed, but prewired was standard. I think.

For the a 12volt to the bedroom vent, I would look at snaking in, nearest source would the nearest ceiling light. While 110 pre-wiring there, doubt any 12V run. We are running a second AC, so can't check our unit to see. We have a ceiling light about 24 inches from vent, should be easy to drop the light, splice in, and then with a coat hanger or long wire, snake over to the vent location.

Not exactly sure how close your setup is to ours, but since we have the 2nd AC in the vent above the bed, I purchased an after market high powered fan to install in the vent that's in the hall between the shower and reading room (just removed the screen and installed the fan assy in it's place cost approx 50 bucks). There was a wall switch controlled lite a few inches from that vent, so I just tied into that ckt. Now the fan is controlled by the wall switch, if you only want the lite, turn the switch off on the fan, or if you want just the fan, turn the lite off at the lite. Works great for us, exhausting most of the moisture from the shower.

In our 2009 3465sa i installed a FF in the bedroom vent. I got the 12v power from a ceiling light. In our new 3625re i installed the same fan in the bathroom to take the place of the little one from the factory.

Thanks for all of the advice. I was thinking it might be easier to just put it in the vent between the shower and reading room, but also wanted the ability to get a little more air flow on those nights that were not quite warm enough for the A/C. Looks like I might have to fish the wire like mhs and 1retired suggested.

I finally got a break in the weather and installed the fan. I ended up putting it between the shower and toilet room. I only had to run the wire about 6 in to hit the light nevt to the vent. Now you can turn on the fan with the light switch instead of reaching for it. Thanks again for all of the advice. This was my first mod so I had to get over the new coach jitters and just jump in.

That for me was the hardest part.

As you probably saw the prewire for the 2nd A/C does not include 12 volt. If anyone ever wants to install one as a ducted unit make sure you get a Dometic unit WITH electronics pre-installed. The control from the wall thermostat is in the form of a phone line and just plugs in. Glad you got your fan working.
