How'd You Spend Your Labor Day Weekend???

Sitting here still working from home (that's what I get for taking 6 weeks off for horse showing) and was wondering how everyone spent their long weekend??

I know alot of you were camping somewhere, but some of us have to catch up

Like that running horse you have! WOWIE!!

We spent the weekend enjoying our twin granddaughters, almost 4 years old. The parents had a weekend to themselves and the grandparents laughed, giggled, visited more playgrounds than we knew existed in our county and got all tuckered out.

No RVing here either. But SOON!!

Since Wednesday evening.... I have spent my time in bed sick with an upper respiratory infection.
I've only gotten out of bed to keep up with the MOC.
Now that's dedication!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. When we got home we found our 3 grandchildren all have the same thing you have. We should have stayed away! We spent our weekend at Umpqua Lighthouse State Park in Winchester Bay, Oregon, just south of Reedsport and north of Coos Bay. It was a perfect weekend of perfect weather.

We spent the weekend at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center Campground in Toccoa, Georgia. We had 12 families with our RVs. Lots of fun, food and fellowship. As usual it was over much too quickly. We're planning a couple more campouts at Lake Lanier in the next month.

Hope the upper respiratory item doesn't last too long! We spent the weekend catching up on all the yard work and gardening that we ignored while out having fun with the Montana. And we started digging the trenches for patio footers. Ah the joys of a stick built house.......

We stayed home - away from all of the drunks - and enjoyed watching 6 kittens being "minded" by their canine "babysitter".

Doug/Marcie - here's hoping that you get over that Upper Respiratory infection soonest!

#29 fans spent Sat. and Sun. in front of the TV watching NASCAR races (of course)! We also spent time here in our mountain home visiting with neighbors, doing community business and socializing. Unlike us retirees most of the people in our mountain community are weekenders (we call them "flatlanders") and Labor Day is a busy weekend. Everybody is trying to get that last bit of vacation time in. Now that we have completed our civic duties we are anxious to be out on the road again.

We spent the weekend at home, scraping and painting the deck. We hope this is the last time to do it and if we ever build a deck again it will be with artificial boards that don't need anything but a hosing off. Still packing and sorting as we get our home ready to sell. It was great weather, cool at night but up to the 70's in the daytime.
Stay well everyone and don't forget to get your flu shot this year.

We spent Labor day here in our town of Palmer, where the last day of our state fair was ending. We of course spend the last day at our fair. Lots of shows of dancing and magic shows. And of course lots of food to pig out on. Hope everybody had a great holiday weekend. happyrving.....

Saturday and Monday (Sunday day of rest) spent cleaning out file cabinets and the attic, selling household furnishing, getting ready to move into Monty fulltime the third week in Sep. House closes on Sep. 30. WOW!

In the begining of the year we made reservations (with a group of friends) to camp in Maryland near Baltimore. As my luck runs, we had a cousin's wedding to attend on Sunday. So guess who dodn't camp this weekend.

Let's see.... Mike and out 13yo took the 5er and headed up north while I stayed home with our 5yo and painted the bathroom. I had to wait for the electrician to come on Saturday so why not be productive too? LOL We are remodeling so the electrician needed to come before the carpenter could and Saturday was the only day to get the electrical work done. We joined the rest of the family camping Saturday afternoon and decided to head back on Sunday afternoon since it was rainy and they were calling for some pretty heavy storms. We had funnel clouds all around us and VERY strong winds so being at home safe and sound was better.

Monday pulled more sheet rock down so we could move the wall in the family room, got lots accomplished, felt like a good weekend.
