Please Excuse Our Dirty Girl

Today is Bathe Monty Day, the first day we have the time and the weather is good for washing the rig.

The water system here relies on an electric well pump.

Last night I turned on the faucet to take my shower at 11 PM. No water.

Switched over to our on-board tank. Got a shower.

Electrician comes out this AM and gets the pump going. Water!

Everything is laid out to wash our Monty.

Go to rinse out a bucket.

No water. Down to pump house. Pump dead; won't reset.

Electrician will be back in a couple of hours.

SO. If we pull in with a dirty Monty-girl, our apologies.

If we still have no water by the time we leave, you can probably find us at the shower house in the campground. Not only will Monty need a cleaning, but we will, too! You all know one has to be really conservative with tank water if there's no way to refill the tank!

Embarrassingly yours,
B.

Quite close to the campground. Looks like easy-off, easy-on!! Should be on your way into the campground off of route 30 on route 340.

I know how you feel. There is NOTHING worse than dirty vehicles. I have been accused by my fellow volunteers FF of being OCD when it comes to clean vehicles. Mine are clean now but after travel tomorrow, they may not be.

I don't know. Probably not. Sometimes they have an end bay with no roof. Sorry.

Betty,
You do realize that when we all pull into the campground, no one has even a single bug on the front of our rigs. Just keep that in mind. First impressions are everything.

Jim, I think I like you and Vickie already! Either that or I'll sneak over with a bottle of bugs in the night . . .

Well, we have water again but also storms coming and going. Monty's side and hiney are cleanER and Dave is on the roof. I'm taking a breather and then when he's down I'll get the other side and Monty's . . . umm . . . front done. Unless it starts a'stormin!

John, we're in north central NJ, Bloomsbury area. We are full-timers, working as an on-site security team at a dormant paper mill. Fun, good gig.

We'll probably take I78 W to I83S and then 30 east. Round about, but I prefer interstates. I'll double-check my trucker's atlas, but I think that's what we'll do. Should be a good wee run for the truck and 5er.Haven't been on the road in over a year.

Rig is washed. Montana's are white, right?

A 1-ton truck takes less time to wash than a 38' fifth wheel.

Just in time . . . there's yet another rotating thunderstorm headed our way and the sky is turning dark. Ask us about surviving Summer 2011 in New Jersey - I should have t-shirts for us.

Betty

To late to help you out now, but there is a waterless wash and wax I use. You can buy 32oz bottles, but the best price is the Aquanil-X Concentrate 1 Gallon (will make 10 gallons). Works great on counter tops, glass, mirrors, wood cabinet, eye glasses, plastic, Montana's, etc.

http://croftgateusa.com/buy-croftgat...ss-car-washing

Here is a picture on my 11 year old truck, which had only been wax 3 times in 10+ years. I started using the Aquanil-X in March 2012 and have clean it 5 or 6 times since with the Aquanil-X. Really easy to do, just spray on, wipe to cover the area, which cleans the dirt off, then easy buff with another micro fiber cloth.

The black is plastic. Compare the truck in the tag line with above.
