16K hitch ok?

We picked up our new 3400RL last week and needless to say, we're excited The sticker has the 3400RL GVWR at 15,500 and my hitch is a 16K. Should I be concerned about cutting it too close? I doubt that I could or would load it up to the limit - but one needs to be prepared for such things. What size hitch do others here use, for their 3400 (or similar weighted) models? [The winter months, can and sometimes will, give me too much time to think ha ha!]
