Cheap ugly swivel Chair Replacement.

Have an ugly, cheap, uncomfortable swivel type chair in our Mountaineer. I would like to throw it in the dupster, if I could find a reasonable priced lazy boy style replacement that would fit in the slide out area that this junk one is now occupying. Anyone have any suggestions?

Lazy Boy happens to make a rocker recliner that has small arms, yet large enough to fit my 250 lb frame. We bought two at Home Furniture...
I can stretch out if I pull them forward about 6 inches...and yes, good enough for a nap...

Very similar to this one...

Colors and choices change every year, our was a close match to our color scheme, but we put a couple throws over them anyway to double as comforters at movie time.

You have the right idea about the cheap OEM swivel rocker. We left our with the dealer and bought a Lazy-Boy to take it's place. Ours was so bad that it was hard to get out of it once you were down.

I had a lazyboy in our prior Montana, one of the smaller ones Ozzie mentioned. And just last week we put one in this Montana, too. Very comfortable rocker/recliner. Mine is a bit different than Ozzie's, with larger arms. Mine is this model but is burgundy leather, not the cloth shown in the picture.

Looks like there are at least a couple of styles in the smaller width to choose from.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

I stopped by and looked at the one Ozzie linked - a little pricey for the size but that's what I need to fit. It was really quite comfortable. They had only the one on display (green textured fabric) which was a recliner rocker. They said for another $50 they could put on a swivel base which would allow it to swivel, rock, and recline. I think I'll look a little more at the website colors and just order what I want. The website lets you pick a fabric and color and then changes the picture so you can see it. A color print out carried to the TT will help me decide.

Just and FYI on this subject. You can easily put a rocker/swivel feature on most any chair that will allow you do screw a board to the bottom frame. You can order the swivel feature onloine for about $38.00.

I like this because it gives you many more options for having a comfortable chair that swivels and rocks but has the look and feel of a chair you want.

We replaced our two chairs with two Lazy Boy leather recliners. They do fit fine in the area, I just have to turn them sideways to close the slides. Here is a partial picture of them. I had to build myself a new table to go between them as they are wider than the old chairs. The chairs are very comfortable.
