I just replaced our Quest 2000 with a Sony DAV245. It was an easy install and sounds much better. Three things to watch out for:
Be sure to label the wires to the speakers.
If you choose a Sony be aware that they use a propriatary connector. I cut the connector off the sony speakers & spliced them to the existing wires. Speaker polarity, 'phasing', is important so mark the + and - of each speaker.
The Quest unit is short. Almost anything you're going to replace it with is going to be deeper. There's lots of wires in there and space might be a problem.
Bonus point:
The Quest is held in place by two screws directly through bottom of the case from the cabinet under it.
