Still Waiting
Purchased and picked up my Mountaineer about 2 mos ago. Picked it up out of state and drove it back to Jackson Rancheria for a few days camping to see if there were any bugs. There were a few that needed to be addressed along with a big ding in one of the side panels. That took the longest to get a new panel shipped.
However, we had problems with the screen in the emergency exit in the living area. Screen would pop out every time we opened the window. Couldn't get the screen to stay in with the window open. They missed that in the repair work order.. actually checked the wrong window. So, after three weeks at the dealership.. I find that wasn't taken care of. Fortunately, there was a replacement 295RK delivered to the lot and we pulled the screen out of it. Same problem. Put my screen in the new 5er and it worked. Took measurements and the window framing had a bow in the crossmember that was out (oversized in the center) by 3/16" inch. Now the dealer has to contact Keystone for a remedy. They could take the window out of the new one but he said Keystone would not agree with that.
So, here I am out another three or so weeks. Still waiting to use my camper. We should be leaving on our trip and I bought a bunch of goodies like the built in surge protector, TPMS, etc.. all I can say is GRRRRR. I know stuff happens to the best of rigs.. but... GRRRR... There, I said it.

Why do you have to leave it at the dealer's while waiting for parts? Can't they order the part and then let you know when it arrives and then you take the rig back to them? That's how our dealer does it. I hope they get this fixed soon for you.

Could.. but it's a long round trip. I won't be camping anytime soon.. just have to add some accy's. I bought the dogbone for the 50A input to the RV so the cord drops straight down. If I read others comments correctly, that inlet has to be removed/rotated. Just a bunch of stuff to do.

That takes the joy out of getting your new unit. Sorry to hear it.
Rotating the receptacle is an EZ fix took me all of 15 minutes. There's a post with pictures on how to do it. Best of luck to you!

Sorry that is happening to you. It sounds like the window issue will be another frustrating deal by the time it is over.
Hang in there buddy.
How about putting the repairs on hold, take the trailer out enjoy it, and come back when you are done having fun for a while and then do the repairs?

I'll call them tomorrow to find out what they found with Keystone. Get an ETA and go from there. If it's three weeks.. I'll bring the girl home. and do as you say.. wait till I get home from our summer trip. Nothing was killer.. but, it's frustrating to have a new rig and not be able to use it when most of these things should have been caught by the dealer during prep.

One window that will not open correctly would not be keeping me from using the unit, Ohhh, I rarely open the windows, it is either too cold or too hot or too dusty or too many allergies floating around.
Good luck, it is frustrating getting the bugs (play on the screen issue) out.
