Floor

Is anyone having a problem with a sunken area of their floor? Ours has sunk in a line from the front heater vent to the steps - about 6-8" wide

I'd give Keystone a call. On a couple of different factory tours the tour guide has stated the floor is supposed to have a lifetime guarantee.

We have a 2004 Big Sky model 3295RK. We had so many problems over the first few years, we thought it should have been declared a lemon. Keystone took it back to the factory once. The past few years we haven't had any problems, but now the floor is a real concern.

My husband was able to remove the heater vent cover and pull the carpet up allowing him to see underneath. The problem seems to be that there is vinyl flooring on both sides of the floor beneath the carpet pad out to the heater vents and the pad has compressed in the channel between the facing edges of flooring. Maddening that they would do that as the carpet will now wear on those areas, but reassuring to know that the floor isn't falling out of our 5th wheel.

If you would go through the factory tour at the Fall Rally you would see that the vinyl flooring is put down first from side to side before any carpeting is laid and any cabinetry is put in the units. It's really unusual to see them do this but I guess it's faster and cheaper than putting it in specific areas of the unit and having to cut out those areas for the carpet to be laid and the cabinetry to by placed.

Would be nice if they left it all the way across instead of cutting out that porting between the heater vents.
