Fuse Panel Noise/Heat?
I just purchased a new 3700RL. When I was in it this weekend, I noticed a quiet, yet persistnat, high-pitched tone coming from the fuse panel. I opened the fuse panel and everything looked normal. I couldn't smell anything burning, so it seemed to check out. The panel sits just below a closet. When I opened the closet and touched the wood panel above the fuse box it was warm. Is this normal? This is my first 50A unit with 2 AC units. Both AC's were cranking at the time. Later when the AC's shut off, the noise stopped.
Thanks

Pull the plug on the trailer, open the circuit breaker panel and tighten all connections.

When you pull that panel to tighten the connections check behind it for the 12 volt converter. If it is there then it could be generating the noise and creating some of the additional heat.
Good luck, let us know what you find.

I would do both before I did anything else. I found serval connections loose. That would cause a hum when under a load. And that could be the location of you converter.

The current Montana models have an integrated converter in the power panel. It is likely the noise you hear is the cooling fan for the converter unit.
