Volumeline 60 lb force storage door lifts

Had a bad experience where the Volumeline ripped the scres out of the door. Trying to reinstall lift. There has to be an easy way to do it. Do I need to use a clamp to compress the unit?

Same thing happened to us and we replaced the screws with rivets and haven't had an issue since.

to make it easy I would clamp it to the door first. can you put stainless screws and nuts thru the door to secure it?

Those heavy of lifts will need a backer plate to be installed on the door. Seems like there was a recent post on someone who did just that, perhaps a search would yield the thread I remember.
