Echo Dot????

Does anyone take Alexa along with them while camping? Can you just plug your Echo Dot in to electricity and your up and running or how do you get it started. I'm thinking about purchasing a new ECHO Dot and putting it in the camper. I have two at home and they both work great. One up stairs and one larger one down stairs. Just thought it would be great to have Alexa around for some direction some times!

You will need a WiFi network connected to the internet to make an echo work. If you plan on using an RV park's network, you will have to reset it every time you move.

We carry an Alexa along as a dedicated part of our RV home automation. We have the Winegard router connected to our Air 360+. Then, we have smart plugs for table lamps at the dining table and on the dresser. We use a T-Mobile hotspot with 100 gb per month. That way, we don’t have to set up Alexa on a different WiFi each move. We also use it to control our smart devices at home and can play our music, use skills (Alexa, ask WeatherLink current conditions - our Davis weather station at home), and turn out lights after we’re in bed. We also have Blink cameras with the Montana and at home.
