My new Mountaineer came in today!!!

It is beautiful!! AND, I can't believe the new shower stall. Have you guys seen it??? The 2005's have a molded stall that looks like ceramic tile with a bullnose molding on the top and all. It really dresses the shower up! I pick it up on Wednesday. Can't wait for the shake down trip!!!

Congrats Starchmill! I had one of the same unit in 03. They are a great TT. I never any problem whatsoever. I agree the show touch will look nice. Keep us posted on any other new changes you find. Happy Trails!

Hey, that's great. Just over 9 weeks ain't bad considering some stories I have heard on other brands.

Just in case you don't have one here is aPDI (PreDelivery Inspection) check list. Make a copy for your dealer and take it along on the day you pick the rig up. Before you sign any papers finalizing the deal hand a copy to the dealer and explain to him that you intend to check every item on the list. If for any reason he trys to talk you out of this inspection be very suspicious. If everything is as it should be he should welcome such an inspection.

Hey thanks guys! I did print out a PDI and took it with me today to begin my inspection. It's so helpful to have an organized way of checking every detail. They hadn't installed the battery yet so I will have to do the remainder of the inspection on Wed when I pick it up. So far, everything looked fine, the only thing was that both screen door catches were not lined up correctly so the screen wouldn't stay closed by itself. If that is the worst problem I have, I should be all set!

Congratulations, Starchmill! That sounds like the same shower stall we saw on the prototype Montanas at the factory in September. I really liked it. Very residential looking. Just like "home".

Congratulations! my 327RKS came in last week but we had to leave it at the dealer to fix some problems that we found. Picked it up yesterday. Mine has the regular shower in it but I was suprised to see the Sealand porcelain toilet in it. None of the 2005 models on the lot had the porcelain toilet. Did yours come with one?

Congrats on the 335RLBs. We've enjoyed ours and know you will yours. I guess I'm going to have to take peek in a new unit to see the shower upgrade.

Porcelin toilet? I think it was the ole plastic version with the pedal flush. I'll have to take a better look when I pick it up on Wednesday.

Starchmill.Maybe I got the nice toilet because I didn't get the nice shower like you did. Also, check your stereo, my instructions for it says that it was to come with a subwoofer. The dealer said no, because it is not a surround sound system. It is a Sharp brand stereo. It even came with a seperate sheet on how to wire it up and it had the subwoofer wiring diagram with it. I may call the factory about it.

jh1802, thanks for the stereo tip. I'll check that out. The other thing that I noticed was that they had been installing both the ovens and a convection microwave. My unit came with an oven and a regular microwave. No big deal, except the dealer told me I was getting the fancy one.

Starchmill. I got a dometic microwave. Was hoping to get a convection oven. Somebody said they ran out of microwaves and were subbing conv. ovens. I guess they got more microwaves in. Strange about the toilet/ shower thing though. Mine also came with both Dexter and Alko axle manuals and both hydrolic and electric slideout manuals. I guess I will have to figure out which ones I have. Please let me know if you get the sharp stereo and whether it came with a subwoofer or not. Thanks

jh1802, I'll let you know about the stereo. I pick it up Wed. I was over there today and they had the cabinet under the stereo opened up but there wasn't anyone right there to ask and I wouldn't know what I was looking for by myself. I'll post on Wed.

My 2005 Mountaineer has the regular shower walls and toilet but does have the gas oven and microwave/convection oven. I saw the 'tiled' shower in a 2005 Montana and it really looked nice!

Starchmill. I have been out of town camping in my new 327RKS or I would have gotten back with you sooner. I'm happy you got the nicer toilet. It is alot nicer than the plastic ones. Strange how you got the tile look shower but I did not and it seems like ours were both built about the same time. Does your Sharp stereo owners manual state that it comes with a subwoofer?
MEinMO I noticed you are from Bridgeton MO . Where did you buy your mountaineer? I live In Belleville IL. and got mine from Loveall in Columbia MO.
