X100! From a PG13 movie we were watching just yesterday to history channel and discovery channel, GD word is being used (my biggest pet peeve word) and it is not bleeped or silenced out. It isn't the only one I hate, but is the one I think to be the worst (none are good). What happened to being a Gentleman and a Lady? Maybe our schools need a mandatory class on having some CLASS.

Apparently bucking the trend here ... I side with Rich. In my jaunt thru life ... it has been near impossible to daily avoid cussing from management, college professors, classmates, on down to little kids that don't have a clue what they just said. Just words spewed out in bad taste whether approved by your upbringing or not. Like said, you have the option of avoiding them as much as you can or plow right on thru and go on with your day.

Traveling around with our band, I use facebook quite often for gig updates and keeping track of Friends and Family. I found it is absolutely amazing how many people ya know, and had dealings with almost daily, that use the F word like its a normal everyday common word, on facebook. I give one warning, explaining our grand daughter gets on the computer and has been subjected to their word usage, then if that does not work I tell them good-bye. Its just not needed, necessary or proper to use that sort of language so I just unfriend them and be on my merry way. Happy Trails all, Steve and Susie

I agree with Steve and Susie, I find it strange that the person that I see post this stuff on Facebook, a friend of my wife would probable be offended if I spoke to her using the same language that she commonly posts. I sent her a similar post to what I post here she stated she agreed and continues to post using four letter words. It is easy to say to delete her, however it's just not me, she's my wife's friend and some of her posts keep my wife in touch so it's not that easy, and for those of you that will say let her get her own Facebook page I agree, but for those with significant others who don't get along with computers you know how well that works.

Tv and the media has influenced our speech. Movies have been full of profanity for several decades. In my business life in dealing with people we did not hear or use profanity and it is pretty much the same today. Generations have grown up hearing profanity In the media as if it were normal language.
As I said it just does not bother me. I don't care for it but that is the way it is. Darn it.
