Low bridge.

Ok new lesson for me a 13'3" Montana has a problem going under a 12'6" bridge. Sorry no problem once the AC and the Sat antenna are gone. So $2,500.00 latter all is well. Ok the real story I missed the truck route in New York just south of the Canadian US port of entry. Not a good thing as that lead me to the low bridge. So watch for the truck routs as that are there for a reason.

Sorry to hear about your issues. So far my Rand Mcnally has kept me out of trouble. I've also had good experiences with Tiara.

How do you make a 12'6" camper out of a 13'3" camper and do it quick ask waynemoore. Sorry about your troubles. Glad you got your camper fixed.

Sorry about your bad luck. One of my biggest concerns is missing a sign that will steer me clear of low overhangs. Glad Tiara got you back together quickly. I hear good things about them.

One of my biggest fears is hitting a low overhang of some type. We have a small sticker with 13'2" mounted in the corner of our rear view mirror as a constant reference as these low overheads do come up on you pretty quick.

Glad it worked out for you with what I would call minimal damage.

I've become truly paranoid about clearances (haven't had your experience yet though). Two days ago, when pulling into the commercial gate at F. E. Warren AFB to get to the FamCamp, the gate had a sign that said 14' 6", but there was a street sign just before it that said 12' 6". I pulled over & got out to ask the Airman what the deal was - he wasn't aware of the sign 40' before the gate! Better safe than sorry.

Well as it happens DW saw the height sign 11'8" just a second before I when under the bridge. The sign was on the lowest part of the bridge. Luckily as I aproched the bridge I did notice that the curb side was low so I changed lanes to the left. I would guess the height at the point where I hit it was around 12'6" or so as I got the top 3 or 4" of the AC and the Sat antenna. Luck in the word here, as if I had hit it at a lower point I could have totaled the reig. New AC and Sat System (did and upgrade) and I am in Kentucky now.#128512;

I am so sorry. The Garden State Parkway has bridges 12.5 on edges 14 in middle. It was there we avoid disaster at the last moment. My wife and I now take careful notice of service stations and bridges.
