Vent covers

We are in high wind today in Yakima, WA. It made me think about adding vent covers to my bathroom and hall vents, like we have on the Maxifan.

Have any of you added vent covers you really liked?

Have Maxx air II. Only need to close up if the rain is blown hard and from one direction. It also swings open from the top for cleaning.
So we like them but nothing lets air flow like an open uncovered vent. We have left the stool room open.

We also use them, and wouldn't be without them.

I have used them since I got the first TT in 93. You can also leave the vent open when you store it to let out the heat.I have one over every vent including the fantastic fan. love them!

We have them also; gives great insurance during a hail storm. Vents can be left open while travelling. The Vents will add inches to your overall height of your rig.

The Fantastic Fan manual does not recommend installing vent covers over the fans. A 'regular' size camco vent cover is on the fan opening on my new Montana and wondering if it should be moved to the now uncovered vent between the shower and toilet. The camper has more vents than I thought when I told the dealer to install them. This was the first Montana this dealer sold and didn't have a 3400 to look at before it was built. My bad! Vent covers are good but might save money just moving the cover and leaving the fan uncovered. Any opinions? Thanks,

I use the max air with the hinge kit so you can get in to clean them etc. I think they were easier to install with the hinges as well.

I've got the MaxAir also on all except the Fantastic Fan in the kitchen area! No problems with leaving the vents open when it rains now! The Fantastic Fan has the rain sensor so no problems there either! I also have the hinged covers and they work great especially when you want to clean the vents! Still want to put the new screens in the unit for the fans! Upcoming project, I guess!

Navybanker maxair makes a different cover for the fantastic fan mine is alot bigger for it than the rest and it has more opening to let the air out. I have used it since 05 with no problems I also have the rain sensor but it has never been used. JMHO

We have two vent covers over our forward stock vents on our 3400...they provide "dry" ventilation when we want it, rather than having to wait for the rain to stop. Like others, we would not go without them. Do not recall the brand, but we got ours from CW when they were running a special.
