TIRES AGAIN

Was at Camping World in Denton, TX a couple of hours ago and the man there told me the Goodyear G614's were no longer available. Has anyone else heard this? He said Goodyear came out with a new one about a year and a half ago, G670 designed for RV's but it doesn't come in a 235/85/16.

I haven't heard anything about the G614 being discontinued. I just looked, and found there are at least 106 of them in American Tire Distributors warehouses around the country. Check out www.tirebuyer.com . You can buy them and have them shipped to a reputable tire dealer near you for mounting and balancing. If you don't know a reputable tire dealer, go to www.tirepros.com and click on the dealer locator tab. All Tire Pros dealers are participants in the tirebuyer.com program, and they are all reputable dealers.

These are two different tires. The G670s are even larger and more capable than the G614s and are intended for larger RVs. I think you should go find another tire dealer starting with LonnieB's recommendation, cuz this Camping World is questionable. It seems Camping World can be so inconsistent with the sales and service personnel sometimes. This happened to me with a different product.

Thanks Lonnie I will look into that. I am really leaning toward Michelins XPS RIB but thought I would look into the G614 also. Art you are right. He said I would have to go to G949 or something like that to get my size. Like I said I'm leaning toward the Michelins but was wanting to compare prices. Thanks guys.

I bought mine at Sams Club last Nov. Had to find some one to install. They had contact w/ a goodyear dealer near by and they balanced and mounted them for $75. Tires were $950 ? about. Good luck Jack

I have the G670s on my new MH...295/80R22.5 load range H with a max load of 7,830. Hope I don't need any soon.

Ordered a set of Michelin XPS RIBs today. Will have them put on Thursday. $309 per tire including mounting and balancing plus tax. Hope I don't have to worry about tires anymore for awhile. This was cheapest price I found locally. One dealer was $365 per tire. Tirerack.com was cheaper per tire but would've had to add $120 for shipping. Works out about the same.
