Got the Late Winter Blues

It's Sunday AM, I played hookey from church,I've got a new 2008 3605(bought after RV season in Nov.)sitting in the back yard,it's sunny and bright, but still too cold to do much of anything out there at 28F. I took my JT Strongarms out after giving them a coat of Tremclad in Dec. but the fingers said wait for a warmer day, and now I guess the only thing to do is to continue planning the 1st trip for the spring. We've RV'd most of our adult lives beginning with a used tent trailer(pop-up) and now with this great Montana 5'r. We traded in our Jayco Eagle 5,r only because we saw this beautiful new monster toy at a local dealer's, but because I'd already taken the hitch out , they delivered it so I haven't even hooked on yet. Well I guess we'll just have to go skiing a few more times before we can think of hitting the road with our new RV.

Yep Jim’s right; several of us have got it! This is the time of the year when you start itching to get out and go camping somewhere. This is also a good time to think about new modifications but don’t think too hard it may cost you money.

Welcome to the forum John and yes I am just itching too, actually now doing the weekly countdown to the last week in April for a run. Just 9 more weeks to go I find myself telling anyone who will listen, not that they care but sure makes me feel good.

Wheeeedoggieeeeeees that looks like cold camping to me. Thought you were going to tease us with about a 70°+ sunny day or something like that.

Nice photos, thanks for posting them!

We got rid of the of Winter Blues by taking a 1300 mile trip. Sunny and upper 70s in Florida. Were asked by someone from home the other day when we were coming back. Told them when the weather was better, their response "Oh, in August?"

Took a trip to Pigeon Forge a couple of weeks ago. It was around 60 by day and 30 at night. Heading back out the first week of April most likely to Ocean Lakes although we're still toying with going to Disney that week. Either way it will be good to get for an entire week. We're still working don't you know?

Well, I plan ahead. On Feb 15th I had right arm rotator cuff surgery. I'll be down a few more months, but I'm ithin' to go. Just remember to plan ahead.

What am I saying! It's 60 degrees at 0840 hours right now and going to the 70's. Darn arm.

We're watching the ten day forecast and hoping to head to Myrtle Beach around the first of March.

got the itch too!!!! Our home is here in the Tampa Bay area so we aren't suffering from cold and snow, but can't wait for the weather "up north" to improve so we can get out and start our "Civil War discovery" tour!!

We are headed down to our Portland Oregon church campgrounds for our annual week of services. Last year we had snow but only an inch or so. Always a treat to get out and enjoy the Monte! Plus a good time to see the kids and grandkids and have a night of wall to wall kids.
