WHY?????????

Well it happened last night. Could someone tell me why the Propane Tank always runs out at night? There is something wrong with this picture. Think my lucky stars it wasn't real cold here, no white stuff. Oh well just opened the valve on the other tank. I haven't been leaving both tank valves open because the 5er is new and I always run a couple of tanks before I start leaving both valves open, they are both open now. I just felt bad because Delaine really doesn't like getting up and going out at night when its cold . GBY.....

Murphy continues to rule!!!

In my case this past weekend -- not only did I run out at night but on Saturday night and none of the local Propane sellers fill bottles on Sundays (no one trained works on Sunday was their excuse). Ended up traveling 45 miles (90 total) to 4-Seasons RV to get the bottles filled -- got there 5 minutes after closing but the owner unlocked the equipment and filled the bottles for me -- Thanks Daryl!!).

It follows the same rules as babies being born at 2:00 AM on the day you worked a double shift. She says, "Get up, it is time." And whatever you say is unintelligible.

Stiles - told my wife of your comment and she is still laughing -- said that is exactly what happened when our daughter was born (albeit, not a double shift - just normal Army shift -- 0400 wakeup; 2200 get home for the night!!!!!!) Gotta love it!.

LOL, Funny you should mention that Lindy. We got back to the View around 4pm today and 20 minutes after we turned the furnace back up the second tank went dry... AAAARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!! So we have a pelonis ceramic heater in the basement and the fireplace it keeping the inside warm. We will run into Parsons tomorrow and fill both tanks. We left here in a hurry and two days later the first tank went south. I was just hoping it would last till tomorrow. It is getting down to 20 tonight whoopy!... Dave

I'm just an SOB, 'cause I have a heat pump.

Been there done that on the go outside at 0300 hours and turn the other tank on.

I never did turn both on at the same time as I wanted to be reminded that one was empty, not 2 at the same time. That way, it was a quick run outside and turn the valves.

Otherwise, I can just visualize the scenario.

"Honey, let's snuggle to keep warm."

"Put your sweater on, it's going to be cold getting propane!"
