AND - another question

I think we have all seen birds or geese fly south for the winter. Typically they fly in a "V" formation. In that "V" formation, one line is longer than the other. There is a mathematical reason for one line being longer.

What is it?

Draw it out. I'm sure ya'll will come up with the correct answer.

The number of geese or ducks is greater in the long line. HA!

It will always be an even number of geese, since there is only one leader, an odd number will never have one side longer than the other.

If they fly in pairs and there is always a leader at the apex of the v then one side has to be shorter unless there is an odd #

SlickWillie - You've heard it before!!!!!

The answer is, "There are more birds, ducks, or geese in that line."
Glad to see a fellow Texan is smart.

That lead duck/goose will swap out just like the bicycle racers. He/she will drop back and another will take over for a distance, then again. Leave it up to an engineer to make a science project out of this:
