I may not be on much for a while!
We were just notified that my father-in-law, who has been in the hospital for weeks (up and down) is not expected to live. His system has crashed, he has a blood disease, he's 84 years old, and he has been weakened by several operations in the past 2 weeks. It's not totally unexpected. We have been ready for "anything" to happen for a while.
I'll probably be busy with everything, but will be on when I can.

Update 10-6-2007 - He passed away about 12:30 AM today. He was under a heavy morphine dose so he felt no pains. His breathing just slowly stopped and he died peacefully. I guess one can ask no more of dying. Thank you all for your support. We will return the favors whenever they are needed.

It is tough loosing a parent. Dianna and I are both now without parents. Things were difficult during those last days of each one. You have our understanding and empathy as you are confronted with all that will come at you in the near future. I pray you will be blessed with wisdom and strength for each day.

Lorraine and I have you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Last year Lorraine lost her Mom and Dad. Both after a long bout of dementia with her Mother and cancer treatments for her Father. They are both in a much better place and are waiting for your Father-in-law to join them.

I always feel at such a loss for anything to offer at such a time. I pray your father-in-law will be kept as comfortable as possible and all his family be strengthened in faith and comforted.
