Montana structure
John and Rose Marie 2003 Montana 3295 RC We are having the same problem as you all are having. Noticed the celling starting to seperate in the rite side of bedroom ..Over the TV cabnet. Next the T V cabnet was falling off the wall. Took unite to Gail Kline in Mountvill Pa.Concacted Keystone Factory said not to pull unite until cause was found.. Contacted Keystone said to take to Pocono R V in Wind Gag Pa. which is 20 miles from home. Took unite there last Monday upon inspecting said something broken in hitchpin moved about 3inches and the rite side was moving. When it is on legs the side goes up into place..
They said had kit to fix so they must know of a problem in the Manufacturing processs.Maybe there should be a recall of this type unite.
Taking to be repaired tomorrow Mon...the 13 Hope it comes out better that it goes in A lot of others had this problem,,How did the repairs comeout?? Hope O K Though we had a good one ,but dont know anymore............. John

John,
There have been a number of frame discussions on the MOC and there seems to be an appropriate fix available that has eliminated the problem. Unfortunate for those of you that have to work through this problem, but the good news is Keystone has stepped up to the plate and warrantied the fixes. Perhaps some of those who have had this problem can give you some feedback about how good the repairs have held up.
Let us know how you make out with your repair.
Steve

John, we had the same problem on the same model and year as yours. Yours sounds like it is worse than ours was, though. We just had it fixed at the factory service center in Goshen. They did an excellent job from what I can tell. We've only towed it 650 miles since then but we don't see the separation we had before. Keystone did not charge us for the fix so if your dealer tries to charge you, call Keystone and talk to them before paying.

Thanks for the reply. I guess its noermal to be upset when you buy something new and it dosent work properly.. It is at the dealers since Monday. They said they have one of the kits to fix it ,but we need two for some reason..
I guess everything happens for the best..Thanks for the comeback.... See you down the road John

John, if you want to talk to Keystone yourself, the number is
(574) 535-2100 and ask for customer service. Have your VIN number available if possible.

Frosty, go to the forum on Montana Problems and Technical to the topic titled "Hitch Pin Weld" for more current info on this subject. It seems to be a bigger and bigger problem area.
