Yes Glenn, we've had the tractor square dancing for a numberr of years here in Alberta at the Leduc Antique Show. You make one mistake and could take someones wheel off or end up in a collision!! A lot of fun with much practice and coordination!

Well, that’s the first time I’ve seen anything like that! Almost thought I was watching the movie “Cars.” At least no one went tractor tipping! That was a pretty good display of coordination and talent.

The tractor dance was fun to watch. I just realized from the close calls what danger truly exists there.

That was neat.
Those tricycle tractors can tip over pretty easy if not handle right. Especially if they lock wheels and then suddenly get free. Lots of practice went into that routine.

Thanks.

I heard in the news commentary that this is the last year they will be performing. That is sad. Maybe a younger generatin can pick it up.

I saw something similar back in the fifties at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto. Glad to see that it is still being done.

On edit:
Now that I think about it, what I saw was a little different. They used the newly introduced International Farmall "Super C" that featured hydraulic impement lifts with automatic snap couplings that allowed the operator to pick up and drop implements without leaving the seat. The dance consisted of tractors and implements being manouvered, picked up, dropped and swapped around to a square dance call.
(Not sure what this has to do with Montanas, but it does bring back some memories of times gone by.)
