RV U.S. maps
Here is something that I was told recently that may be of some help to others. In the campground where my wife and I spend our summers there are usually some rv's that go up for sale. This is usually due to health reasons or change in lifestyle etc. Recently a friend of mine decided to get a new RV and sell his old one on his own. The old one was a 1999 and in very good shape. He had it priced reasonably but was not getting any takers. After one of the prospective buyers had looked at it he stopped by my RV site and asked some questions about the other 2 RVs that were for sale. I asked him what he thought about my friends RV. He said that He liked it but noticed that it had a US map on the side that showed 44 states that were marked. He said this led him to believe that somewhat like a car the RV probablly had over 150,000 miles on it. He went on to say you don't know what kind of roads its been on or what condition the breaks, bearings etc. are in. Also there may be several other small things that would go wrong. After this discussion I told my friend about this. He said after thinking about it, he had a point. He then removed the US and all the markings on the side. To make a long story short the next person who looked and it gave him his asking price. As long as you have the RV it makes a good way to meet friends who have been to the same states but apparently could slow down the resale of the unit. Just wanted to let my friends on MOC know of this because it may help them in the future.
