5Days and counting

I said I would be excited when I could count the days on one hand until we go full-time Well I am really excited. Getting the Montana out of storage tomorrow, last garage sale is Saturday, carpets being cleaned on Monday and renters move in on Tuesday....
3 years ago I would never had thought this was the direction my life would take, but we are looking forward to our new life of adventure. Going to spend a week at the KOA in Mt.Shasta getting myself together(if that can happen) and organizing the stuff in the rig, then we are off to Fortuna to see family then planning a summer of traveling up the N. CA and Oregon Coast. Going to camphost at Sunset Bay SP in CoosBay the month of Septmeber so if anyone is in the area stop on by. Hope to see all you MOCer's out on the road. Teresa

Congrats Teresa and Dave and WELCOME to Full Timing,
We hope that you discover that the Full Timing lifestyle is everything you have been hearing. Our Full Timing adventure began in October of 03 and we absolutely love it. We can see no way of ever going back to stick house living.
Just last summer we did the CA, OR and WA coastline so don't be looking for us come September. While we didn't stay at Sunset Bay we did do the CoosBay area and loved it. Maybe someday, when fuel prices come down (yeah like that'll ever happen), we can once again venture back to the west coast.

Congratulations, Dave and Teresa! You really are in the final stage of "blast-off," and that must be a great feeling. Sounds as though attention to details (carpet cleaning, renting your home) has paid off and helped things run smoothly.

We are envious and wish we were moving into fulltiming rather than moving into a new home. However, our day will come, and we'll be on the road, too. In the meantime, so keep everyone posted about your experiences. I hope to pick up some good new-to-fulltiming tips from you guys!

That's great!! It is freeing. Learning how to get your pace of life down to a stress free level takes some adjustment. You don't have to drive 8-10 hours to get to some place to have fun. Taking 2 or 3 days to get there is part of the relaxing fun.

Congratulations.. it does take an adjustment and be prepared to get rid of some more things. You will be amazed at what you thought you needed and really didn't. We have been at this for 3 yrs now and are constantly readjusting and even moving the furniture around a time or two!! Have fun and stop to smell the roses.
