The countdown begins...

Well, I finally made the big jump yesterday. I called and set up the exact moving day (May 9th), scheduled all the cancellations for the utilities, and picked up the change of address forms at the post office. It's definitely real to me now...LOL Twenty-one days...21 days, 3 weeks!!

I loaded more stuff into the truck and will head up to the CG tomorrow. I still don't know how long it's gonna take to dry out enough for me to get onto my site. But, at least I'm in a space out of the way, and can utilize everything. It's supposed to be sunny and in the upper 40's to lower 50's through the weekend, so that should help dry things out.

Twenty-one days til I'm a fulltimer...21 days...wow, it's really gonna happen.

Jan

EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! Jan goes to Fulltime status in 21 Days. Good for you......

I vacate my house in 12 more days, but, I am renting an apartment for the month of May. Still too much snow and mud here. Went to dealer and will pick up Monty on 23 May, stay local a few days, take two shakedown trips until 1 Jun and then it's BYE BYE Alaska. Hopefully no long drawn out delays for repairs.....Isn't there a song that has the line "I'll follow the sun"? That's me in June...........

Your excitement is pouring out of my computer screen, and it's making me jealous - lol.
I can only try to imagine how exciting it must be.
Best of luck to you.

Phil and Cathy, Becareful on the ALCAN and enjoy the trip, take your time and enjoy the beauty and the new Monty on the way to the continental USA. Alaska is probably the most beautiful state in the union, but after almost 10 years there back in the 60's I had had enough of Fairbanks and the cold, so we left.
Ready to leave Wshington too, but have to wait about 4 years for Phyllis to retire, since she wants to go for full retirement to double her retirement pay.

HAVE FUN!!!!
