NEWMountaineer 319 BHD Update

The Mountaineer is now safely tucked away in it’s new home. The items discovered during my PDI were addressed ( for the most part ! ) A couple more issues gave surfaced. All in All VERY PLEASED….. We have been camping for 20 years in a various class “A” MH and this will be our first adventure in a 5th wheel. The Ford 250 pulls the 5th like a dream, and I love the TOW/HAUL feature of the TRANS. The breaking is very, very smooth.

I have been very active in reading the many helpful MOC POSTS and during the WALK AROUND ( I could have done this myself ) the dealer asked me if I was certain that I had never owned a MONTY Before…. I owe a big THANK YOU to the very knowledge and helpful people who are kind enough to share their knowledge on this FORUM.

Have to GO….headed to the COAST in the Mountaineer !!!!

Congrats on the new coach. Here's to many happy years in your new coach. I'm a little jealous of your trip to the coast though.

Just returned from the maiden voyage, An overnighter to Monterey Bay. All in All a very pleasant trip. For the first time in 10 years I did not wake anyone up at 5:00 am making coffee ( once Farmer always a Farmer ) The kids sleep away in their BUNKS and the wife in the bedroom. Set up was not bad, I do need more PRACTICE ( or marriage counseling ) when backing the rig……..

The F250 handled the 5er like a dream, and the same pass that I would have been struggling to maintain 40 mph in our Class “A” I pulled at 55. The TOE/HAUL Trans is awesome.

There are some things I scratch my head and wonder NOW WHY DID KEYSTONE DO THIS ????. I will visit my dealer on MONDAY with a ISSUES LIST…I did very extensive a PDI , but 2 days in the RIG really let me look things over.

First impressions are important, and I must say I WAS VERY IMPRESSED…….
