Water heater

I was told if you run your hot water heater on gas and electric it will heat the water faster.

True, but not normally necessary for us. Our HWH heats up in 5-6 minutes on propane, 10 minutes on electric.

In warm weather we run ours on electric only as the incoming water is already relatively warm. Saves on propane. But in colder weather we typically run it on both gas and electric at the same time to get better recovery rate since the incoming water is cool/cold.
