Issues with High Country 335BH

We have had our camper for just under a month, and already several things have popped up. Hoping someone here has advice on a fix.

1) Housing that loft ladder sits in pulls away from wall when climbing.

2) Vent fan on ceiling above kitchen fixed once, is not working again, though cover opens.

3) Lower bunk support fell out when I sat on bunk-fixed.

4) Dvd will not eject from the Furrion player.

5) Owner's manual isn't specific to camper so no real operational instructions. (This is NOT a military -10)

Any thoughts, suggestions, fixes?

If you were to go in for warranty every time something pops up on a new Monty you would spend your 1st year in service. Fix what you can, live with what you can wait a few months and schedule warranty. Unless it is a nessesity wait there will be more... I just had mine in for 28 items took 3.5 months to get back, they were all superficial things.

good luck! took mine in dec 2 2019 for pictures to send to keystone. just short of 3 months later got decision from keystone. 1 screen door that did not fit at top denied, said we damaged it. 2 chip in counter top denied said we damaged it. (agreed i should have seen it on my walk thru but did not) 3 drivers side bin doors would lock but could just pull them open ok'd by keystone.4 bolt coming thru vinyl floor in bath floor ok'd 5 when front couch is pulled out the pivot point bolt is tearing thu steel, (never used couch bed) denied by keystone says it id lipperts problem. finally got ok to fix screen by keystone "as a good will gesture" I do like my fifth wheel and also realize that things can be bad from factory, it is how the company deals with the problems which is the important part of this whole thing. I do not think much of keystone , they in my case and opinion did not comply with the warranty they agreed to, the cost to fix these small matters would have been minimal as per the customer comes first, again my opinion not with keystone. I will never again take my fifth wheel into a dealer either!

1 - Add/replace fasteners

2 - Call Maxxair. Their warranty is decent

3 - You fixed it, no big deal

4 - Look at the reviews on Amazon about Furrion. Pretty bad Jensen isn't much better

5 - Owner's manual is ueless as it is general across the entire Keyston lineup. If you need info on a specific component and it wasn't supplied , the internet is your friend. As far as the Keystone built box, you are for all intent, on your own. These RVs are a moving eartquake and things wear and break. A few tools and a bit of DIY goes a long way since taking any RV back to a dealer is a real study in frustration

Hello Al Meyer,
I'd like to help. I've sent you a PM asking for some additional information. This will allow Keystone to dig into the more of the details. I'll wait for your response.

We are sorry for your issues and share your frustration. We purchased a 6 year extended warranty with a $0 deductible that allows you to use any professional rv repair service, even a mobile rv guy for our new 2020 Montana. It even covers "operator errors". Could have come in really handy on my 2004 Everest fifth wheel to repair several operator errors and on our 2014 High Country fifth wheel to repair the molding / sliding pantry / kitchen shelving when they became loose after each trip.

While I do not expect any issues and have had no issues (because the new Montanas have better components and are more solidly built) in 2+ months and 1500 miles of towing, it is cheap insurance for us. We did the same on my new 2016 Ford F350 that was out of warranty to cover items outside the engine, drivetrain and safety restraint system.

After 7000 miles and 173 nights the 2019 3761FL goes in for all THREE problems. Cap lights no longer work, no heat coming from 2 farthest ducts, and a backup light. Keystone sent a letter on the rear lights on March 2, water gets in them. They would send the light to me and the ducts I could attach and tape but finding the problem below the access panel I’m not about to dig out. Every thing else works as supposed to except the power front window shade, push up button and it goes down, down button and it goes up, I’ll live with that.

Capt. John,
Have you tried pulling the switch out and reversing the 12 volt connectors?

No, because they did work until recently. I’ll try that tomorrow. My 1st thought was the switch as it didn’t light but will give your suggestion a try, thanks. I bought a new switch but used the same configuration.
