Tank heaters?
Hi there, does anyone know if there are tank heaters on a 2007 Keystone ? We are full timing on our land in NH and have been great till I turned the furnace way down and used fireplace and space heater for a week.. We typically like to be cooler and I guess the black tank froze up to some degree as when we went to drain nothing came out. For a week we have been keeping the furnace higher and doing the hot water, I think we are getting closer. We looked and didn't see any switches so we figured our rig just doesn't have them

None on my 2006. I'm not sure when they came out but from following this forum I know it was after 2007.

Like it or not, when these rigs are in extremely cold weather, you really need to use the furnace a lot, because not just your tanks and drain valves can freeze, but also all the water lines in the belly area, so tank heaters will not help with the water lines. We've been in single digit weather, and never had anything freeze, but of course we ran the furnace and did use a lot of propane, but did not have an even higher expense of repairing damaged plumbing from being frozen.

Some very sage advice that Bob is offering. Like him we have been in single digit temps for several days and never had anything freeze, but we went into the trip realizing we were going to burn a lot of propane.
