Buckle Up Tonight

It’s going to be a bumpy night here in the mid south, bad storms and tornado watch until 11pm. I’ve prepped for the wind and batten down the hatches, made sure the generator started and an extra 5gal of gas for it. Hopefully it’s no more then just wind and rain and that darn lighting.

Aside from a tornado, I never did mind trailering up in a storm.

Since we summer in Kansas when we know a storm is comming we fill our tanks and we always keep the fresh water full. The extra weight on the lower level seems to help stabilize the rig. Have had wind gusts up to 90mph and survived.

Daughter lives in Fort Knox. Sirens all on during middle of night. They spent night in basement. Husband is gone (Korea) and gets back Sunday. It looks like the closest tornado was about 40-50 miles away tho.

Our maiden voyage 2019, Rapid City SD. Weather predicted 70mph derecho (straight line winds).
We filled our tanks and pulled in the slides. We shook a bit when it went through but we're OK.
Next day news showed 4 tractor trailers on their side on i90 just east of Rapid City.
