Took the step to diesel
Picked a 2016 Chevy Silverado LTZ 4x4 today. I hope it's as good as everybody says it is. For those that have one, has anybody spliced into the rear camera of the truck to hook up to a camera from the rear of the trailer or do think it would work that way? Thanks Ron

Moving up to a diesel, whatever brand, is a good move when towing today's RV's. They are a little more expensive to maintain but the piece of mind is worth every penny spent.
Congrats on new purchase.

Congratulations on your new truck! Not my brand, but you'll love the diesel.

I see no reason you couldn't hook your rear view camera up to your camper. I would be sure if bought one from GM. Go to someone who does this kind of work and ask them.

If I were to make a "wag", it would be that the truck monitor quality...image-wise...would be sub-standard to what your expectation would be...but I could be very wrong. Ask the chevy truck forums and gm to find out for sure. You will absolutely love the diesel... john

Best wishes with your new diesel. Did you get the 3/4 or 1-ton? I made the switch in '04 and don't intend to tow again without one. It's a whole different animal. Be sure to post how you like it.
