Re: Cable TV

Hey all,
I'm at a park and decided to splurge on cable, but I can't get it to work. I'm just getting basic channels. Can anyone tell me something I need to do so I don't waste the money? Thanks!!

Jan

Maybe you could check with the park manager - we had a situation once and it wasn't the rig, it was a bad connection at the park -

Find your antenna amplifier. Look for little green light on a panel with cable connections on it. Mine is in the bedroom up in the front. Press the little button and turn the green light off. Also go to the menu on your TV and scroll through and sit auto program channels. Try that and write back.

Jan, you can't run that booster (green light) while on cable or satellite. May have already found that out...

Many CG only have up through 99 or so. Not all those numbers are channels either.

I've have definitely learned that Montana Sky!! Thats why I didn't even bother to pull out all the paperwork for the trailer to try and find out how to make the cable work. My first thought was to just come on here. Not only do you get answers very quickly, but everyone is so nice too!! Thanks for that...it's really appreciated...:-)

Jan,

I had an issue one time, posted on this site and Dale sent me a PM with his cell number and told me to give him a call. He had me check several things on my slide and although there wasn't an issue it was very reassuring. I'll never forget that either and hopefully one of these days I can pay him back with an adult beverage or two.

My point is, that experience and others is what makes this place so great!

Jan, if the turning off the booster didn't help, go into the menu on the tv itself. It has to be changed back and forth between cable and antenna. Otherwise all you will get are the lower broadcast channel numbers.

Think that Steve is on the right track. Look for the antenna/cable setting in the menu.

Great Jan, Sometimes things aren't that easy.
My wife has a Mitered Conure (Jade) and we have a Shih Tzu (Pepper).
Have Fun!
