Montana Big Sky 3575RL Subwoofer?

This question goes out to those people who own a 3575RL. We purchased our 2003 Big Sky 3575RL used. Like may others that have complained about the stereo, we also find ours severly handicaped. I know that Keystone has placed the subwoofer in their trailers in some pretty obscure places but I have not been able to find one in ours at all. Is there a subwoofer installed in the 3575 and if so where is it? Either ours never came with one or the previous owners removed it.

Thanks.

Your floor plan is similar to the 3670, kitchen and dining reversed. My stereo is in the center of the double width slide in the overhead and the speakers are at the ends of it housing the subwoofers. There are two additional speakers in the ceiling of the bedroom. My model is the same year as yours. The CD changer is a Samsung. Since I, too, an a second owner, I don't know whether this is original equipment. This probably no help to you.

Our 3575 is a 2004. The subwoofer is in the bottom left side cabinet under the large desk.

Bob and Sheri,
I would have expected the subwoofer to be under the desk. I have look for it there but there isn't one. We're pulling the Monty out this week to go to Palo Duro Canyon for Thanksgiving. I'll double check under the desk and see if there are any wires indicating the subwoofer was once there. Without the subwoofer the stereo only has the little cubes to play the music through. It doesn't sound very good listening to only the mids and highs with no frequency below about 1KHz or whatever the freguency range of the cubes is.

Thanks to everyone for the replies.

I know there's a lot of difference between our Everest and your Monty but.....I found OUR subwoofer in the basement behind the stairs to the bedroom.....and moved it to the empty space under our fridge and all is well....still can't figure why they put it behind the stairs....try pulling a wall off in your basement....about 6-8 screws......you might find yours there as well.

We took the Monty to Palo Duro Canyon, TX for Thanksgiving. I checked everything out again and there is no stray wires where a subwoofer may have been. I looked under the desk and on the left side there is a junction box where I can install a plug. Right now it just has a cover over the box and inside is the connections for the electrical plug that's above the desk. I guess this is where the subwoofer would have been as this is where it is on the 2004 models. I'm suprised there was no subwoofer on the Big Sky in 2003. Just another improvement I have to do.

Notsdale, I do not know the your floor plan, but we have the 2850(baby Montana of the family) and when we were looking through the 5er when we first bought it I found a big black box in the cabinet above the ref. When I asked about it they told me that it was the subwoofer for the stereo, just a thought.
Keep the thought coming I have learned a lot from all you good folks out there.

Mine is in the top cabinet by the door mounted to the roof, so it looks of course I have a 2980RL but is another hiding place you might look.

I have found no trace that a subwoofer was ever in the trailer. This spring I will pull the stereo out of the cabinet and check the wiring to see if a subwoofer is even supported.

Notsdale,

Not sure subwoofer was avaiable in a 2003. My memory, as flakey as it is, tells me that subwoofers were not installed until after we purchased ours, took delivery June 2003, marked a 2004 unit. Note we do have the Montana, not the Big Sky, and that might be the difference???

Al is right, our 2003 has no sub-woofer and the RCA stereo with ceiling mounted mini speakers. Previous models had speakers built into the ends of the overhead cabinet.

Ours was in the bottom cabinet to the right of the ref. right where my wife wanted to store the pots and pans.
