appolo

Are the newer Appolo 1/2 time microwave/convection ovens standing up better now. When I talked to the factory they said they have been improved.

Like Rich, after replacing the old one, the new one works great. Wish we had one in the stick house, especially with the great service you get from Lynne at Midwest supply, the distributor.

Ours works great except that blasted plastic seal on the inside of the door recently broke. Apollo is sending a new seal.

Those blasted door seals are very fragile and you need to be very careful how you install them. It looks like they snap in but they do not..if you try to snap them in they will break. The microwave will work with out the door seal..of course if you stand to close you may turn into the "Swamp thing"

Thanks for the tip. The new one arrived today but my days are rather busy at the moment so installation will wait a few days. Our seal is still in place but is broken and we have to push it back in place at the break point before closing the door.

So what is the secret to installing them? I haven't yet opened the box to see if there are good instructions.

The Swamp Thing. You should see me when I awaken in the morning. Not that much a stretch.

It took us two before we got a good one. I guess three is a charm. It is now working perfectly with no problems. Actually, we love the new one.

Our oven works fine, however, it sounds like a 747 on a takeoff roll and as a result we favor the microwave over the oven feature and it's still noisy as can be. Naturally our dealer claims it works just fine.

My third one came and works good but looks used. It's looks like they refubished the first one, the dealer sent back. They did send me new lug nuts and fixed the frig.

We have an 07 3075 and have used the Apollo oven continuously since January and are very pleased with it. We now use the gas oven for storage only.On a bumpy interstate we did have the rear legs hop off the base. It was easily repaired after removing the plastic surround. I plan to insert a block at the top rear of the cabinet to prevent a recurrance.

As mine is an 06 model, I probably have the older model Apollo and touch wood, so far it has been fine.

Here is our experience with the Apollo 1/2 time oven.. 06 3400. The original Apollo had a build date of Feb 06 and had many problems. Many with that build date also had problems. It was finally replaced with a unit build date of Aug 06 and has been trouble free.
