Question on overhead cabinets

Im so glad we are back on. Terrible when there is nobody to ask when I have so many questions. I remember reading (I think it was on this forum)about someone lining the back side of the overhead cabinets so you couldn't see everything inside but I'll be darned if I can find it now. Tried a search and nothing comes up so if anyone remembers where it was I sure would appreciate it. I think I remember seeing pictures also. Thanks a bunch.

Helen,

This was discussed a while back, maybe a month or two, you might need to search the Archives??

Several stated they used some inexpensive fabric and tacked to the inside of the door. I had suggested using the drapes (that I do not have installed). I think anything would work, my preference would be something "quiet", so it does not draw your eye in.

You could install with those really small cafe rods, or small short tacks, or maybe even velcro.

I believe three were a lot of MOC's with the DT's the last 24 hours or so!

We had metioned it awhile back.
My wife took white construction paper (which is stiff) and put contact paper on it.
We cut to size of the opening of the glass.
At first we put the contact paper to the glass side, Then we tried one witht eh white contact paper to the glass and then you see the contact paper when you open the cabnet.
That seems to look the best.
We just used double sided tape to hold them in place.

I measured and cut fabric squares then surged all the ends. I used sticky circle velco and attached to each cabinet. They are so much better now ..I choose burgandy fabric so it cordinates with everything else. When they get dirty I will just pop them in the washer and put them back in!

Thanks for the great ideas. Now I'll have to start shopping around to see which one works best for me.

We made lightweight panels and gathered them on some electrical type wire. It appears to be padded and gives it some substance. I think Glen wrapped the wire around two short screws for each edge. Seems to be working.
