Smoky Mountains, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge
I know this has been on here before, but Mr. Search is not being very friendly today. Does anyone have any favorite place(s) in the Smoky Mountain, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area? Thanks, Sue C

We have stayed a couple times at Claybough's Campground on Weirs Valley Road in Pigeon Forge. IMO, the parking spots are kind of tight. It's fairly nice but there is another on the same road that I hear great talk about. I think it is Creek Side Campground. I would like to check that one out the next time I'm down there.
Claybough's is a nice campground though. However, we haven’t stayed there since we’ve had the Monty.

CreekSide is mine and Nancy's favorite. Its PPA and close to all the action. Its right pass Claybough's about a block. Jennifer is a great person that helps runs the campground, has good wifi, 50/30amp and the trolly runs right thru the campground. hope this helps

We just stayed in Sevierville, at River Plantation. Very nice place and you can wash your RV for $5. We also passed Big Meadows and it looked beautifu.

Anywhere that has a trolley running near (or through) it. Life is better with the trolley in that area. Cheryl and I plan on staying there in Oct during the Gatlinburg Craftmans Fair. It is enormous and great fun. We will stay in a different CG this fall as the last one, while inexpensive, was too far away from the action.

Eagle's Nest is a PPA park. We stay there several times each year. It is on Wear's Valley Road (Hwy 321) and has a trolley stop.

We started out at Creekside in Pigeon Forge but didn't like all the traffic hassles and crowds. We moved to Twin Creeks at Gatlinburg and loved it there. That's just us, understand. Many people enjoy Pigeon Forge. We didn't like the crowds and traffic.
