Finally made it to Tybee Island for the first time and are already in love with it. We're in Site 140 until the end of February - stop by if you're "in town!"

Welcome to our old home! Actually Savannah, but it's right there together! Enjoy yourselves. If you want some good seafood, go to the Crab Shack near Lazuretto Creek. Anyone can give you directions. It's where the elite eat in their bare feet. Really! Have some crab for me!

Ahh, Chris and Dave, we know that feeling. As you already know, 140 is what we consider the best site in the park. And I think you already know we have that site reserved for next winter.

And, thanks to your heads up, when I called the park they said for our stay next winter they will honor the rates in effect at the time we made the reservation. And they emailed me confirmation of that, at my request. That trip will probably be our last to Tybee as I absolutely refuse to pay the new monthly winter rate of 825/month plus electricity. And the summer rate is higher yet.

Tammy, we've been to The Crab Shack on one of our two trips to Tybee. Neither of us are into seafood but Vicki wanted to try crab. We also like the Breakfast Club and some other restaurants on the island. But, Paula Dean's The Lady And Son in the Savannah historic district has to be one of our favorites. We absolutely love Tybee and the Savannah area.
