Woke up this morning to -10 degrees F (actual temp). Will be going to -21 deg F tonight. The warm up is coming, back above freezing by next Wednesday, and then another cold punch coming.

We have had a blanket of fog here in southern Oregon that won't let up. It is all of 22 this morning in the fog, will probably get up to 32 maybe. Above the fog it is beautiful and 50, and over at the coast in Brookings it has been 70. If we were retired we would be there! We had our share of rain, ice, and snow before this. Where is the global warming?

22 degrees below zero in NE Pennsylvania this morning. The house next to our church burned last night. The elderly man and woman were able to get out safely. No one injured.

We're still in the MOC circle at Quartzsite.

Today's forecast is supposed to get down to 77* during the day and up to 45 tonight. Life is tough in the desert!

Well I finally got back on today! Been in Ohio for the last month working on two houses that my two sister-in-laws have bought! We were here for the great ice coating last week ( had about 1/4 to 1/2 inch f ice over the TV but luckily did not bring the Monte)and were staying at one of the houses. Both lost power and since this one was all electric we sat here for two days with out any power at all. Finally went to Lowe's and was lucky and they had a shipment of 36 generators coming in that day. Left and had lunch and then went back to the store and stood in line for about an hour before the truck came in! Got a 5300 watt unit and it supplied us with heat and lights for the duration of the next four days until the power came back on! We had debated about having an LP unit put in but there were none in the area especially since all had been on sale two weeks prior and two weeks before the storm hit! How the sister-in-laws have a generator to share if it goes out again. The one has an LP furnace but without electricity to run the fan it was of no use. Luckily her family had not moved in yet and they had heat and electricity at their other home. We hope to have everything finished up by next week and we can head back to good old Nebraska! It will be good to be back in our own bed and etc.!!! It's been in the mid 20's here but will be warming up to 40's-50's by the end of the week! Hope you guys down in Florida enjoyed the cool spell WE sent you from here! Got to take the good with the bad I guess! Hope to be back on more often now we have power and the computer is hooked up! Take care all!
