Item #1: Both AC units continuously freeze and lock out (quit working) when fan is in auto position; requires power cycle to bring them back on line. This has been a problem since the RV was new. Dometic techs looked at it the last two years but could not recreate the problem. Dometic thermostats were replaced twice but did not help. New thermostats (MicroAir) installed 6/21 verify problem; see attached.
MicroAir is aware of the problem with Dometic units. Received this information from MicroAir tech support:
Dometic single zone systems suffer from a problem when operating cooling in automatic fan. The fan turns off with the compressor by design and this leads to frost formation on the coils. Eventually the coil temperature drops below 27° and the control board goes into freeze lockout. Several users have reported they always ran the fan on continuous mode while cooling for that reason.
Item #2: Replace window on dining slide. Rear window, outside wall.
