I was fortunate to be one of a group of 6 who got a phenomenal deal to have the Lippert factory team install our 6-point system in Quartzsite in January 2015. I had purchased my Monte in 2013 so I had a couple of years without the automated system.
Here are my opinions after using the system over the past year.
First off, it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
I get to a site, unhook, and press the autolevel button, and go do whatever else I need to do. In a short time, everything is perfectly level, moreseo that I could ever do manually with a carpenter's level. I then open my slides and I'm ready to enjoy myself.
Do I use anything below the pads? Nope. I used to use those yellow Lego-like blocks, but if I end up in softer soil, it can be a real big hassle getting those thingies out of the dirt/mud. And who in the heck am I saving this unit for? The next owner? Nope. It's for me!
Someone noted that being retired means having all the time in the world to set up one's unit. I disagree. I feel I have less time on my clock, so I don't need to waste it trying to level my rig. Heck, I bought the best truck, the best trailer, added the best add-ons.....can you tell I believe I deserve the bast! You may not agree, but I'm in it for me.

I agree with Rich about exchanging the propane tanks.Have mashed more fingers taking out AND replacing them. Leveling side to side is always a problem with the old system and I am usually off a bit, but as long as the refrig. works I don't care to get the boards out and back up or forward to get level.

Rainer you are my kind of guy. We worked many, many years and are fortunate enough to afford the life style we are living now. We were in the money making, investing and savings mode for 45 years .We are now in the spending and enjoying life mode. Our next upgrade will be the roof satellite so we can push another button.

Starting getting the popping sound caused by the level up as the weather is warming up here in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. The noise was loud and frequent which was very irritating. I have never used blocks under jacks. Someone earlier in this thread asked why putting blocks under the jacks would resolve. Nobody answered that question so I got a theory it was just caused by simply changing the pressure in the lines. So to test this theory I raised all jacks as high as they would go, then I retracted them all the way (except the fronts). Next I ran the auto level. Popping sound is gone and it's been 3 days. No jacks required.

If the popping returns and you haven't added any fork oil yet (per Lippert instructions), you may need to do so. Made a significant difference with our rig. Here's hoping your procedure continues to work.

Yes I've added the special oil to my growing maintenance to-do list which I hope to get done later this month at the dealer. Also, I will let everyone know if the popping comes back before then or any other relevant information on this topic.

I always use pads under the level up. Just habit from my previous TT. Probably not necessary, but I have never had an out of stroke error. My wife and I look at the site, how the rig is sitting and agree on a decision of how many pads for each of the three pairs. On the soft Florida soils even with gravel we usually do a spread pad of two of the waffle pads next to each other and then height added bridging the base. Yes, they are sometimes squished into the dirt/stones, but I have always been nice and level. No pops yet, but plenty of issues with the control pad.

We have the system on our new 2016 rig, I have only used it twice, once at the dealer, and once where I store it. 30 seconds my rig is level, I love it.
Only down side, the auto retract feature to bring it back to where I unhooked the truck doesn't seem to work, and I have been told it doesn't work well anyway. Not sure why, or if I was doing something wrong, but I followed the instructions on the label and it didn't work.
As for pads, I use them on dirt/gravel. usually don't use them on nice level concrete pads. I have the orange plastic ones. Easier to clean and lighter than wood blocks.
As for leveling off the ground, I was explained that this system is just like the ones in the motor home, and may lift the tires off the ground, ands that's OK

The auto retract only works by design to raise the front back to the unhitch level. It will not lower the trailer to the unhitch level for safety reasons. LCI told us this at the last National Rally.

Will never be without levelers again. Must have option on future rigs. And I am not feeble.

Ah, I see what you are saying, so if the front of my rig goes down during auto level, it will only raise it back up BUT if the front has tro go up during the auto level process, the auto retract wont bring it down, am I saying that correct?
Ill find out for sure next time I move it, because where I have it now, the front had to come down almost all the way to be level, so it will def need to be raised up.

Yes, Ed. You have the right idea, it will raise but not lower. Works great and would not be without level-up.

Have 6 point on our rig, 2012. only had a minor problem the first year, with system. Two of the cylinders had leaks at the auxiliary fitting connections. Tightened plugs no problems since.
Just recently had the popping noise mentioned, but only experienced this while parked on concrete pad, so wooden blocks might have helped.
At park we frequent, the first time I leveled, the staff there were amazed.
Would never own another RV without auto level.

We also have had leaking jacks and in process of getting them replaced. We have never used anything under the jacks; just spent almost 6 months in the Southeast where it rains a lot. Even on grass, had no issue with the jacks sinking into the ground.

Can this system handle the weight of the whole rig? For instance to change a flat tire. or in my case, change all 4 when I get rid of the junk Trailer King tires???
From reading things about this system, I am under the impression that if the trailer tires come off the ground in the leveling process, its OK, which leads me to think if I purposely raise the tires off the ground its OK as well..
Anyone know for sure?

Every time I have had to change a tire when it had Marabombs, and when we had the G614's installed, I used the system. And every year doing the bearings and brakes, the entire back end is off the ground, the first time for three days, and we are fulltime. There have been no problems with the jacks, except for a little seepage which has resolved itself.

If you change a tire with the LevelUp system do you need to be connected to the tow vehicle? I am new with the system, so if you have a flat on the left side while in manual mode do you press the left button only to raise the trailer for the change? Thanks
